Unattended ground sensors allow monitoring and surveillance of remote areas. Our technology has been tested in the rugged Southern Arizona desert. Our rechargeable battery packs can survive 100,s of recharges, but can maintain function up to 2 years without recharging. This allows for easier monitoring of extremely remote areas without needing to charge or change batteries. Our long range technology can achieve distances of 9 miles with small dipole antennas, 20 + miles with high gain antennas, and 80+ miles with our repeater systems. LEGISLATIVE UPDATES
Frequencies in the ground are sent to high precision amplifiers that boost the signal to a transistor logic level. The signal is checked by microprocessors for false signals through several algorithms. If a signal is true, it is forwarded to a radio transmitter and received at a local computer port monitor. Commands can also be sent to the UGS from the port monitor. This allows for "over the air" calibration. The UGS 10 and UGS 20 have a quiescent power draw below 200uA, allowing for long battery life. Our repeater battery packs are charged via solar cells for continuous operation.
